lol, shipping ro-ro is around £800 mate.....

want it even more now....

just search holden commodore in cars, and look for stuff from adelaide as its drier, and south aus, as they dont have a mot, so older stuff is around.

I like the whole Mad Max appeal the Auzzy Vauxhalls have, well the older ones, Tramping down a huge straight desert road and a trail of dust for miles, just you and your shot gun. Bliss.

Turbo, Turbo and Turbo..... V6's of that era were underpowered... V8's are just lazy lumps. Unless tuned to death.

in australia, everywhere is a bloody long way away, even the local shops..... wazzy little turbo things wouldn't last 10 minutes in the huge heat over there.... these aussie cars are built to travel millions of miles.

Japanese V8s of that era were about 4.0 litre and 260bhp, so per litre more powerful :p Chevrolet also used the same 350 engine in the Corvette GS with 330bhp.

Still, yankee V8s (by that I include Australian, as lets face it they have the same ethos when it comes to engine building) are designed to be tough engines not at the peak of tune. As mowgli said they were designed to cope with the mileage and heat of the midwest/outback too, and Americans/Australians aren't clever enough to build an efficient intercooler system in those conditions. And fuel is cheaper lol
