View Full Version : C20XE Nova Van
I went to view the van from Hobbit last week :thumb: decided it was a must have at the price he wanted so gave a deposit and arranged for it to be delivered tonight.
We also went up last week to meet colin(novarally) to get a complete c20xe package.
so..
heres how the van arrived last night, well alsmot like this bar the fact it was about 11 at night lol

we then wanted to crack straight on with it and set about fitting the engine!

by this time it was about 12 and we were both fecked so called it a night! happy to get the engine in situ though!

Looking good mate is this phils old van off here?
Was a diesel before iirc.
yeh phils old van mate, was a 1.5 diesel
we will be removing the rear van panels though and putting glass in place
Nice should look good mate.
You not fancy leaving it as a van would be different to the norm?
we thought about it, but my mate says it will 'look' better when he has the cage on there with the windows lol

looking good id have to agree with hobbit its differant as it is theres not that many vans done!!

Keep the van panels, if only to save yourself the ballache of removing them, theyre and utter barsteward to remove:cry:

my mate is set on removing the van panels... i might speak to him..
aiming to get it all wired in nicely and hoses fitted along with rad and shafts etc etc

spud, isnt it just 30or so spotwelds to drill out?
yeah and seam sealer iirc....
ah feck didnt think of that.
hmm i might try and talk him out of it then, seen as it will be me removing them lol
Just leave them on for a bit and see if they grow on him, can always remove them at a later date :)

after searching about 6 shops we found a can of blue monster to cover the coil :thumb:

Engine was in, shafts were in, brakes on, etc etc so started to fit the dash...

need to get some new track rod ends and steering rack boots.
anyone got any new ones laying about for sale then pm me...
also toying with these wheels, think they will be going black though to match skirts and bumpers when there on.

sorting all the wiring out tonight for her..
there looks to be loads more wires on the original nova loom(than my let nova), is this because it was a turbo diesel before hand?

got more done last night but battery had died so you have yo wait for pictures im afraid!
Jimbo, mine is waiting on my boost pipe. its being custom made to fit with the new inlet but he also has to weld in a take off for the dumpvalve and the ICV
Wont be long though :)
