View Full Version : Injector cleaning. Will this work ?
I need to get the injectors cleaned on my Irmscher injection system,
we have this ultrasonic bath for cleaning the steam injection nozzles on the filling machines at work;

the nozzles are probably about the same size jet as injectors.
Will this work or not ?
Sounds abit pikey I know but it would save time and cash.
Thanks in advance Edd.
No
Because the injectors are closed.......
They have to be pulsed open whilst sitting in an ultrasonic bath
Mmmm didn't think of that.
12v pulse needed to open them up ?
You can damage them though putting a constant 12v to them. They are opened for microseconds when they are being controlled by the ecu
there is videos on youtube that shows how its done

Thats nothing like how injectors are cleaned. It'll do the outsides nicely.
They are hooked upto a fuel rail & injector cleaning fluid is flowed through them & cycled back & forth with the injectors connected operated open & closed.

Cheers for the info everyone
Anyone got a part number for the injectors on the Irmscher kit ?
ive seen companies advertise on ebay that do it for £3 per injector, hardly worth ****ing about yourself for that kinda money
Didn't think it could be that cheap. Think I will have to look in to it a little more.

A company called Asnu Injector cleaning did a demonstration at my college about a month ago, was very interesting what they did, but in alot of cases they couldnt clean certain makes/types of injectors, it may be worth looking for their website and seeing how much they charge though :)

You can use the bosch number as a refernce thats on the side of the injectors
lots of bosch places dotted around the UK so you will find someone local to do it.
