If your log book is confirmed as a 2ltr 16v can you get a quote with anybody say directline and it still all be legal or do some insurance companys not have engine swaps in there system?
Is there only a choice between certain insuance (modified) insurers?

any car will appear on an insurance quote as it was from standard regardless of how it is declared.

edit: i.e your reg will appear as a 1.2 and you will have to declare your 7.2l V8 as a modification.

Do NOT rely on the registration number to obtain an insurance quoation.

I see so it's best off sticking to insurance companys that are prepared for modded cars!
