:twisted: hi i have a mk 2 nova sri and i crave more power
i already have a k and n i have a stainless steel exhaust 1 of the loudest around i clean the k and and the plugs i have also bought a drag mod off ebay wich shud take me to around 100 bhp i recon\hope is there ne thin else i cud do cheap 2 gain more power as r lass has just had our 2nd kid so funds r a bit limited

replace your cylinder head with a 1.2 mk1 one. that will raise your compression and give you an extra 5-10bhp.

actually, the 1.4 sri head is supposed to be one of or the best head as standard. besides, how would he mate up the fuel injection to them ports (or are they the same?)

think the sri is the 'big valve' head which gives better flow,should be able to just get it skimmed?
is that drag mod any good? think there was a post not so long ago about it not sure the outcome though

1.2 head is better for the SR not SRI. If it has a CAT then try to get rid of that and will gain you some more power.

As for the drag mod i thought it was just a resistor that you use to fool the injection system so it gives you more fuel?

think for a good kent cam you'd be lookin ?170+ not cheap as specified

that drag thing (resisitor!!) will give about 3bhp Max lol. its a con like most things on ebay

iv alrrady posted my recomended mods 2 days ago on another tecky post, go look at that

that drag mod just fools the ecu into thinking not enough cold air is coming in, or something like that. it is just a resistor though!

not being funny mate but if u read the posts it says that its a resistor the fools the ecu into injecting more fuel.
