Rite... had a bit of an accident with a wall the other day :( :oops: .. neways there a real deep scratch along the rear passenger panel (bout 15 - 20cm long) its kinda down to the bare metal.. im not to worried about sorting it properly yet as it dunt look majorly bad` (aint got no money neither) but is there nehting i can but on it 4 mean time so it dunt rust or nething

touch up pen from halfords

comes with paint on primer, and colour match paint.

its v basic but will prevent it from rusting

Alternatively - if on bottom panel, sand back area using 800 wet n dry, mask off car, prine area, smooth using 1200 and then respray it.

If its only temporary and small no problem - you will need to smooth edges but if you intend a full respray in future no worries...

get it done asap coz once rusts on it...

Wkd.. there is a kinda tiny dent were the scratch is too.. nuthing major like v v slightly.. how would i go about knocking this out.. im guessin a rubber mallet or somin from the inside.. ne tips??

mmm.

remove inner trim, see if you can get a small hammer to it. You'll need to have someone press a piece of wood or better still a proper dolly on the other side for support. You may find its quite tight.

Body shops usually weld small rods to the centre of the hole then use a special leveling tool to pull it out - sand back and respray

If its only a "tiny" dent, you could sand it back, fill it with body filler and then respray.

Try "GENTLY" knocking it out 1st - just have someone hold something strong on the other side - dont go mad - just lots of little tiny taps to level gently

i just been talking to me m8 and have decided that filling sounds like a betta idea as it is only a small dent which is kinda a "V" shape were the scratch is..

im planin on color coding wing mirrors soon and recon that wud be gud idea to sort dis prob at same time.. how do i go about finding out the color code of me car.. its white if that helps.. duno how many types of white nova;s there are??..

on the vin plate in the engine, the colour code is stamped on there.

Just record it and call vauxhall
