In an accident in Wolfsburg on Wednesday evening, four young men 18 to 20 years, died. They rode in a brand new golf.
A fifth victim is in danger, police said. The 19-year-old driver had the 170 horsepower car, which was registered to his father, only a few hours earlier, picked up in person at the Wolfsburg plant. After he had driven with friends, with over 100 miles an hour through his hometown.
The vehicle was a function of the roadway, crashed into a traffic island, flung against a tree and was ripped from a second in two parts.
"The first responders offered a grim picture," said police spokesman Thomas Figge. None of the five passengers had put on a seatbelt. All were catapulted from the vehicle and thrown into the street.
One of the men died at the accident scene, the other succumbed shortly afterwards in the nearby hospitals due to their severe injuries.
Currently, the bodies are examined for traces of alcohol, drugs and tablets.

Mad isn't it! Hit a tree at 100+ mph in a car like that... Imagine what would be left of one of our 80's rot boxes?? Doesn't bear thinking about....
Aye, thats been going round for a while now.
Doesn't say much for the safety of Golfs though, its torn clean in half. Even at high speed you'd hope it would stay in one piece at least.

6 of my mates died in traffic accidents. The youngest was 15yrs old. Believe me, they're not funerals you'd want to be at.
my mate died in a car crash at the age of 17, he was from a rich family and was driving his dads bentley and at the funeral there was a bentley there the same as what he was driving on the day, was horrific to see it and how the car ended up ...
its been a year and a half now and i hate watching car crashes now :( its one of them things that scars you for life ",

Yeah i do agree with you on that... 1st thing to do when getting in a car :)
Same here mate. I'm not going to say I don't speed though. Although 100mph on a road like that is a more than a little excessive! Young kids who can't judge road conditions and know when is safe to put your foot down are just the type I expect not to wear a belt as they clearly don't understand the consequences of anything.
Yeah, the car broke in half and even wearing a seatbelt chances are you wouldn't have looked too clever at the other end of that smash, but it's worth a shot!

but wearing a seat belt may have reduced the risk/inuries caused in the crash which is why the bloody things are installed on cars lol
Mate of mine hit a tree at about 70 head on in a 200SX. Had his mrs and his mrs' sister in the car. He and his other half died on impact and the sister is still in a coma iirc, it happened over 6 years ago. Thats why i dont like 200sx's. Ever since theyve just been tainted to me, and i'll never set foot in one till the day i die.
On a lighter note, bit of filler and that rear half will make a lovely trailer :)

all due respect like but if your driving fast it has it consequances, we have all driven fast in our time but is it really worth it??

When I was at school someone in my year crashed his christmas present, a BMW mini, killing his sister who was in the pass seat. Couple months later he was wheelspinning a new BMW mini out of the local shops, made me feel a bit sick tbh :tard:
/\ i have a permanent reminder in my left knee as to why i don't plan to drive a ford escort ever again... 3 screws & a plate. and i really struggle to put names to faces & voices... and i used to always remember a face. and some days i can't focus fully... and some ar$ehole told me i was lucky

Theres a bloke like that where i live, he maneged to kill a young girl 16/17 years old, he hit the ka in the side at crossroads skipping a red light, he was in a jeep which he maneged to flip over the ka, the girls mum survived and had her daughter squashed into her, he now drives around FLAT OUT in a mk4 astra with chavey exhust and wheels. It cant just be me it irratates, ive seen it parked up with graffiti sayin murderer, windscreens smashed etc, and still he drives flat out, up peoples back ends, its realy makes me angry :mad:

I heard SX's were a bit cheese like when it came to integrity. One reason why I picked the ST205 over the S14a. Heck, if it failed to kill Didier Auriol, it'll do for me lol
