having a look at buying the newman phase one camshafts for my 20seh has anyone tried these all opinions appreciated :thumb:

newman cams have a very good reputation but i cant help thinking your wasting your time with a "phase one" cam. would be surprised if you notice any difference

ah thats not so good were hoping for an increase ov around 15-20bhp lol

this is what is on the website im not to clued up :) -

Phase 1 Power Band: 2000 – 5750 RPM (Good tickover for road - use in std injection engines)

• Phase 2 Power Band: 2500 – 6500 RPM (for use with twin carbs or throttle bodies - not std injection)

• Phase 3 Power Band: 3000 – 7500 RPM (Good high rpm power - not for std injection)

• Phase 4 Power Band: 4000 – 8000 RPM (Powerful high rpm cam - not for std injection

thats all meaningless imho.

iirc the stage 1 cam is a 268, and the stage 2 is a 276.

if it was me, id look at a blydenstien b+ head, and a 4 into 1 mani. :thumb:
