Mini/Midi Motos

So who has one? There was a huge following for them a few years back here but it seems to have died a death. My old one is burried in the Garage but I must get it pulled out as it was a flyer. Need a bit of help working on it though, hense the thread to see who'd had them.

Mine is a Midi Moto, its button start. Its got its own charging system but its not working. Its also got lights on it and some sort of Amplifier attatched, but I think that by Jump Starting it off the car I have fecked the Starter Relay. The charging system wasn't working when I got it. Any ideas?

yup have two also, but im no good at fixing them so a bit of a pointless post really. there that small i dont even know where they are in the shed lol

Fook it all off, and fit a pull start.

Get rid of all the lights too.

Its a fast fecker though, it'll do 50mph and with a shot of nitrous it'll see 75!! I dont want to do away with the electrics, I like the push button start. I want it sorted for the local International Rally next month for darting through the stages.

Pishes me off when people say there minimotos do 50mph.

a £3000 CRC hand made minimoto, running a full polini hand tuned and dynoed engine will touh 60mph, if geared for it.

Is a chineese £100 midimoto going to be faster? erm no.

As a 75mph minimoto is seriosly on my shopping list.

Er, its a non runner, hense the thread mate? 49cc Mini Dirt bikes can do 45mph with the right sized rider, its not unusual.

75 is with Nitrous pumping into it, the cartridges are so small a full blast only lasts 60-90 seconds.

Selling it is the plan when its ready but you're a bit away from me.

my blata copy does 52mph proven, with a radar gun a mate has. thats just a drilled airbox and de restricted exhaust. youtube has vids of a 100mph 70cc blata. dod, pics and i'll see if i can help. a mate works for a bike shop.

Me and Dar have one. I need to rewire the ignition and get it running again tbh. Its got an electric start :)

Mine is a size up from that, nice stealthy Black Colour as well. I've been to look at it, its even got indicators on it!! I wonder if it'd take much to make it road legal. lol

It will be the stator coil more than likely.

Take the side casing off, and check the gap.

Also, Id get a new battery for it, as the batteries are poo.

Thinking on, the stator is only for the spark.

But, what you do, is take the pull start cover off, and look at the coil on the crank cases, youll also see a magnet on the flywheel, this needs to be set so its not touching, but a nats cock away from it:thumb:

Ive got a water cooled B1 rep. Its a WIP TBH lol. Did start out on a cheapo mk2 Cag. Bought it via a group buy on CorsaSport a few years back. It got melted in my parents garage fire back in 2008. Would love to get the B1 up and running. My mates flew!!
