piston rings ?

any body got a clue how much a set of piston rings for a GTE would from vaux

Sorry m8 , maybe jumping to conclusions cos you haven't said what you are planning but just in case......
Dont bother just swapping new rings into old bores unless they are within the acceptable wear tolerances (ie virtually unworn and therefore unlikley) - they are matching items really.

If my assumptions are right what you are actually in practise considering will be a bottom end re- build cos there is no point putting new wearing items into a bottom end which will still have old worn stuff in. For most older Vaux engines that havent been worked on this will prolly mean new oversized pistons, new rings, engine bored out, new big end & main bearings etc. This will cost easily ?500 plus to sort properly......

i know all that, rebuilding it at the mo, ive lost some of the rings, so ive gotta replace them all with new so they wear, the bores just need honing so the new ones bed in, jus wanted to know how much from vaux, got prices on the rest of the rebuild bits
