go breeny
If breeny didn't say it, I was about to. No hard feelings Anton, as I know he's your mate, but this is a site for Novas.
Jim
Anton, ur mate hasn't got a Nova and put a Corsa bodykit on it has he, and not told us?
anyway, what are these wheels!
to be honest will, i doubt anyone on here will actually know for definite and be able to provide proper details, its like someone asking for wheel advice on a mk4 escort people will have a good idea but no definite answers m8

So the guy has a corsa, if his mates use this site, why shouldn't he? normally I would be there saying use a corsa site, but to be honest I dont think it really matters, he's not being abusive in the message or anything, so instead of just having a go at him, why not try to help out???

Yeh but if you go into the corsasport forum asking questions about nova's expect to get the same back off them...
I think it's irrated a few people because he's asking a question about wheels. A question that gets asked very often on this site and probably other sites as well. I don't know anything about Corsas other than they took on from the Nova about 10 years ago. I've nothing against them, but it might have been better for the guy to post this sort of question on a Corsa related site so that people can give him more accurate information. Yes, his mate does use the site, but his mate did own a Nova and only recently moved onto a Corsa.
If people are going to start coming onto the site asking questions about other makes of car than a Nova I can see people getting a little frustrated as this site is suppose to be for the Nova. Theres Mig and Cruise sites that are better suited to different types of Vauxhalls/Manufacturers.

it's not as though hundreds of people are coming on here asking for advice about loads of other makes of cars. All I am saying is instead of dismissing it immediately and giving people a reason to slag off this site, why not just be nice and if someone does know the answer help out.
I can see what you are saying about the wheels question, but at the end of the day, people have to start somewhere with modding cars and getting advice and if he knows this site through a friend, what is the problem?
Yeh i agree with John :D

So does anyone know then?? When he says rub on the shocks does he mean the dust covers. These can be taken off or cut away cant they. Just like you do on a Nova.

plus this should prob be in technical forum
Right Jim and JK, I want you both to go off into different corners of the play room and think about not arguing any more. You can come back and join the other children when you think you can play nicely once again.
and anyways haven't you got work to be doing?

well considering they are basically the same car with the same suspesion setup/rear axel.....etc etc just with a different body and interior i think its a valid question. TBH i think they would rub on the inner arch or shock covers because most people with 17's on nova's go for et 45mm offset. But im not 100% sure
sorry dad, I wil appologise to Jim as soon as he puts his dummy back in!!
:o I'm curious John, how do you apologise when you have your tongue in someones arse? :P LOL
Sorry CP, it won't happen again

Yep, ppl go for an offset of 45 when they get 17's to make sure the wheels do clear the shocks. If his 17's are touching the shock then he's gunna either have to buy spacers or new wheels.
Corsa will- you should have got 45et.
will like i've told you a million times
et 45!!!!!!!! 49 will scrub
