TT99 To signify a disqualification under 'totting-up' procedure. If the total of penalty points reaches 12 or more within three years, the driver is liable to be disqualified
well its your own silly fault to be fair, it says to them your an unsafe driver and have no care for other road users, your a hazzard
and judging by your car, 1.6 16v turbo, your going to be racing around, going tish look at me tish, maybe get a 1L will be cheapers, less speed, means less danger

Did you tell them you had the TT99 a couple of weeks ago? Why can't they insure it till Monday, is that when your ban is up?
Go to decent insurance company in the first place and you won't have this kind of bother

pardon edd?
whose a decent insurance company then??
whats wrong with sky? theres more good comments than bad about them
and wtf is a bammy?
Sky have been great for me...
Agreed with Andy and Mazz, ive been with a few varying insurance companies and ive not come across any more helpful or friendly than the people at Sky:thumb:
And seconded wtf is a bammy?
I thought the Sky insurance matey on here wasn't very helpful at all.
Bloke came across as a right joker tbh.
I take it your both with sky then ?
Me personally I have my daily with Direct Line, and my Sport with Hic.
Could never fault the service from either.
I would also like to know WTF a bammy is ? lol
Who did you speak to??
Very helpful and friendly when i dealt with them
Ive spoken to Luke at Sky many times and he is down to earth and very helpful, i used to be with HIC a few years back and they caused me a hell of a lot of stress and cancelled two polices for me, (too long a story to go into but it wasnt my fault tbf)

bammy 21 up (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bammy#), 9 down (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=bammy#)buy bammy mugs, tshirts and magnets (http://www.urbandictionary.com/products.php?term=bammy&defid=1809139)
A Jamaican flatbread that is very similar to a pancake. Bammy bread is made from grated cassava root that is pressed in a cloth to remove the liquid juice, then mixed with salt, formed into a small round shape, and placed on a baking sheet. The cassava is pressed down to decrease the thickness of the bread and is then baked on both sides, as the pancake-like bread is turned over once while baking. This bread is most often served as an accompaniment to fried fish or other fried foods.
"That bammy tasted great with my fried fish"
 :wtf:
Lmfao @ the UD explanation, youre all apparently a flat piece of bread lol

lol @ the bread pancake thingy
The only person i've spoke to from Sky is the chap that comes on here.
After this thread; http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140004
and the following pm's I wasn't very impressed after hearing lots of good reports.
At the end of the day there will be good and bad reports from most insurance companies.
Exactly, i hope this doesnt sound like im trying to have a pop at you Edd but there will always be one that cannot be catered for and will be left feeling hard done by, its just the way things go unfortunately:cry:

i told them everything a couple of weeks ago they gave me the price i called back today to accept the quote and they told me i had to call back monday when they could speek to an insurance writer?? dnt no why but i just no they will be hiking the price rite up no doubt. i have the tt99 for nearly 3 years and have 4 years ncb so i'm not that much of a risk
I've always had excellent service from Sky. As for the OP, maybe the quote was only valid for a few weeks so they had to requote you? It may be they just need to confirm with the underwriter that they'll cover you.
PM Ollie (username Skyinsurance) to inquire, I'm sure he'll be able to fill you in. I can assure you he's not a Jamaican bread-based product lol
Paul also had problems with sky tbf.
You called on a saturday and are surprised you couldn't get covered from today? I'm surprised they even have people on the phones on a saturday.

So they are not telling you they can't insure you because of the TT99 they are telling you they need to speak to an insurance underwriter which needs to be Monday.
I reckon they need the policy authorised by an underwriter before they can issue it because of the TT99 and most underwriter's don't work at the weekend.

Hi,
as ever, there is a simple explanation to this one, because of the offence code and the fact it has been over 2 weeks since we quoted originally, we had to get an override code from the insurer we quoted you with, the underwriting division of this underwriter was closed on Saturday when you called so we were unable to put the vehcile on cover. Having spoken to my colleague who spoke to you on Saturday, this override code has now been given and we are able to put you on cover, at the same price we quoted originally.
My colleague is trying to call you this morning but cannot get through.
regards
Ollie

Edd,
whilst you are entitled to post whatever you like, that statement is a bit unfair if you are basing it on a disagreement we had in a thread about your agreed valuation. I was actually offering advice at the time.

I agree with you on this statement 100%. Insurance is one of the UK's most hated industries, we accept that and take any criticism on the chin :thumb:
