the gear change was the next challange i rang vauxhall to see what they used on vx220 but as its lotus based i had to ring lotus after the shock of 2k for the set up i thought that they only use rover parts on lotus and thought they prop use mgf gear mech and cable so i used two long cable as they have one long and one short and modifed the vauxhall mech to attach cableshttp://i1046.photobucket.com/albums/b468/taffnova/RIMG0513.jpg

Yeah still got her, dunno what to do with it now, might have to sell up :(
keep a close eye on the copper pipes, the joints don't like being flexed very much.
taffnova
21-05-10, 05:35 PM
i secured them so they dont move i hope plus to rad flexi pipe but will do incase thanks
Mcrae Why the sell up
taff, keep a close eye on them over time. i've seen stropn steel pipes getting stress cracks before, for no apparent reason.
i toyed with the idea of old skoda 120 pipes for a job like this, but they would most likely have to be imported....there are no rwd skodas any more

Cool project this mate. How does it handle? Very tail happy?
taffnova
19-07-10, 10:10 PM
handles really well had suspention set by pete needham who does hill/sprint climbing and circuit racing i really cant fault it so predictable if you want it tail happy just tap the pedal and you can get it round but if you want it to go round a courner with out skipping out sticks like s*&t to a blanket
Did I spy this on eBay the other evening for £10k?
