it will have come off either in the boot lid (easy solution) or inside the roof/headlining (not so easy solution)

if its the boot lid option then strip the inside panels off and re plumbbbb, if its in the roof its a headlining job :( EVIL

what do i need to do to strip the boot back? I hope its not in the headlining as i assume i would have to cut it? Thanks for the quick reply.

the split will be just inside the shell where the boot wiring grommit is if you find the split a mk4 polo has connectors joining the pipe at the back seats at the passenger wheel arch. just mind and put cable ties on them lol

Rear jet not an issue for MOT failure fortunately.

If you pull the plastic cover off as you would to change your rear bulbs try get your hand in there and feel around on the bottom some where there should be a hole with a pipe into it.
on my old gsi the pipe came off which runs straight down out of the car bloody soaked my boot its worth a try if it is that then its an easy fix.

diaster day ok had all the left hand side boot casing off the water is running down by the lights but i could not find the pipe! i then started to remove the pillar headlining and still could not see it. Now the linning is not taught - very annoyed! Then tried to get the jet off the front of the boot which came off with about 8 inches of tubing and thats it...where o where is the rest of the tubing. And to top if all off changed my broken headlamp and side indicators for clear ones (which look great) but lost one bolt and now have only one bolt on the passenger side headlamp. Will this hold?

I had this on my current nova, to fix it you need a washer pipe joining piece, and a length of pipe, mine had snapped just after the B pillar, it was a glass out, jesus handle off, rooflining down and poke your fingers into the gaps between the roof skin and the framework under it as this is where the pipe runs through, pull it out and use your joining piece to connect your new length of pipe, then run that back into the roof and towards the back, its a pain to get through the rubber boot between the roof and bootlid then feed it along to the washer hole, pain in the ass to do but its worth it in the end:thumb:

You need to have the glass out as it sits in behind the rubber, it folds over the lip that the rubber seal sits in and is stuck down behind it, its fiddly to do but can be done!
