It was originally registered as a 1.3 SR - and before anyone says ... yes it does have the correct cc on the log book and has done since 1998 !

Oh ... thanks but no thanks on the offer . Not for sale but I think I need a new turbo !

Used to be £50 lol

Don't they charge you something daft amount in fees? So for £70, you'd end up giving them money to take the car away lol

I've not dealt with them, but they are part of carcraft. We regularly get people saying they've been offered £x by them to buy the car and the usual responce is well take it there! It also makes life easier for us taking part exchanges in as a high number of customers research the cars theyre looking at on the net and do that at the same time. So by the time they come into the showroom they're ready for it

there is a webuyanycar office based around the back of my work and get to see the cars that are bought from them some are actually decent cars they just get sent to auction. Iknow a couple of people who have used it but were in a hurry to get rid of there cars

Smokes a fair bit on idle - its either the turbo seals giving up or the valve stem seals failing.

Either way its not good as the engines only done 8k since it was put back together (the turbo was brand new from turbo technics and the stem seals were new GM ones).

From a fixing point of view the turbo is the easiest but most expensive - about £250 for a rebuild whereas the stem seals are just a few quid but will have to take the head off to do it.

I'm going to have a poke around the intake pipes to see if there is any oil in the pipes which should make me decide one way or the other.
