The vodafone forum is fantastic as you can ask about getting extra cheap deals and the mods on there call you up and sort it out (managed to blag the mrs's phone on exactly the same contract as mine as a new customer etc)

so you are saying O2 is worse under tory/libdem rule....... i think not......i remember what their network was like back in the day, when a salesman supplied us with a company's worth of their sh1te, and we put it all in a big box & sent it back to him after a month

the nhs couldn't be privatised.... how do i know??? because any business man with half a brain wouldn't take on such an organisation.. it is way too top heavy. there are more managers than there are nurses

i never agreed with the railway selloff, but BT, gas, electric & water companies needed selling off so they could raise money for infrastructure upgrades, because they were really outdated & over staffed. as for rover, they were dead in the sixties...... but it took till bmw ran off for the smell to surface... the government really was skint in 1979, the IMF was knocking on the door....

The country is heavily in debt and now Cameron is going to sell stuff to make some money back. What a tool.

(please note, this post was loaded with sarcasm)

As for the O2 thing, I dont blame the Tories, i blame all the people who bought O2 phones lol

o2 is a pukka network, been with them for 8 years and even with this **** up it didnt effect me :p this **** up also had nothing to do with o2 either, was some construction tools ****ing up a power supply or something. tis extremely funny and rather sad at how much it seems to have effected the country though

Oh jeeze, get over it! Would you keep a shop open if it wasn't making a profit? and thats thanks to the unions asserting that the mines should stay open until every last drop of coal was removed, so they were digging holes half a mile deep to mine coal seams an inch thick!

Sure, the minors were badly affected, but so is everyone in an industry that fails. Just because back then the unions kicked up such a fuss that it romanticised the public to the plight of the minors. What about the countless people now who's small businesses and careers have been ruined by labour's inability to regulate the banks? Those were PROFITABLE businesses stamped on by labours incompetence.

But if you insist on living in the past, regarding selling the railways. Labour spluttered at the time that it was a travesty and as soon as they got into power they would re-nationalise them. And what happened, they got into power and sold off the last remaining public owned railway sectors, so they were lying bastids back then as well.

the pits closed for one reason.......arthur scargill. his ego kept them out until the pits were too expensive to reopen. the props needed daily maintenance. & he wouldn't back down.

we had a huge (still do) coalfield a couple of miles from where i was born & raised. but leicestershire miners chose to keep working thru the strikes. apart from 12, and the NCB closed all of our decent pits too. we now have a museum.

i suppose the tories shut the tractor factory too????? no, lack of labour party investment meant production moved abroad, same as massey ferguson did.... oddly enough, the ford factory in basildon is still there..... and the jcb factories are too, but they are privately owned!

our building company has seen its workforce go from over 20 to 5 & we weren't working on the big housebuilding sites, there truly is no money about..... and this has been going on for a couple of years.........

Aye, but this was back in 1999 when texts were a new thing and networks charged a pound a message lol

Nowt left to sell, Tories got rid of everything last time and Gordon shunted out the reserves lol

What we need is a good ol' war to raise the counties spirits. A dodgy accent'd country man with dubious facial hair and a liking for socialism would be handy right now. Oh wait lol
