Not sure that cameron is the best man for the Job though, if Brown had of done that before the election the result would probably of been different. Policys aside I think people tend to vote for who they prefer not the policys.

Pete

if you dont actually listen to the policys people vote for the person they would rather talk to and basicaly go down to the pub with lol

Thats the country fcuked then lol

I wonder what Camerooon will do once he finds out there's no gold to sell as Brown's already sold it all to the chinese for 20p.

Mind you, Brown getting out the picture is a good thing; public support of Labour will go up now. Quids on it being a Lib Dem condition to have him pushed out - I reckon they've given an agreement to the tories to side with them, just so they get in power, but as soon as it comes to it they'll fondle up labour policies. Clegg keeps his power trip on a roll then.

[edit] Apparently Camerooon wants an Alternative Vote system as he reckons it will be more fair. Bullsh!t! lol

jack, under labour, they shifted the boundaries to make more labour safe seats & less lib dem/tory ones...

if p.r. was brought in, the result would be pretty much the same, but the bnp & ukip would have mp's....

if there was an english parliament, it would be tory.

basically the scots are up in arms because their public spending bonanza gravy train is about to get derailed!!!!! and they all voted labour to try & keep the money, when they won't vote labour as much for their own parliament....

Jack

if p.r. was brought in, the result would be pretty much the same, but the bnp & ukip would have mp's....
We'd also have a hung parliament every fcuking time lol Thats why AV is supposed to be fairer... even though its not, as its basically juggling the votes until someone can be fabricated to have a clear majority lol

if mandelson hadn't been around, then the tories would have had a 20% majority..... its pretty obvious that he was behind the mp's expenses thing, then the union posters banging on about public spending cuts... it was one almighty push to ruin everyone elses chances of winning, and it nearly worked.....

the time is for honesty, not spin. & when cameron announces the snap budget, thats when the trouble will start, and as long as the tories lay blame squarely on labour, then if there is a sudden election, they should walk it.

Rid of Gordon...

Blair's revenge almost complete...

Did anyone else notice the presence of Alistair Campbell at Labour HQ on election night???

Things to look forward to with the CON'S.
1. 15% interest rates.
2. Less Jobs
3. High volume of people loosing their homes
4. Lower taxes for the rich.
5. Higher taxes for the workin class
6. Oh & an Ex Lib Dem who's now is No2 & looks like Cameron's younger Brother :p

MK999

or, maybe even, higher interest rates to help recover the economy, more jobs due to higher public spending due to lower taxes across the board. Downside of all that is that benefits, public services etc will be cut, the other option is keep spending and ignore the national debt.

Lee

AKA the 'Labour' option lol

De slotted, what makes you think all these things are going to happen? You've been listening to Mandelson again haven't you

1.the interest rates now are murdering anyones pensions & savings
2.the way labour worked out the figures was a huge joke & it is nearer 5m with the 'long term sick'
3.how can any more people possibly loose their homes??? the dodgy ones already have... why does everyone think they should buy a house??? and overstretch themselves for this property ladder????
4. tax is on income..... you can be a millionaire & earn £20k a year........
5. income tax for the low paid is already being lowered, as part of the power share.......
6. big fu[king deal........

Rock on the 15% interest rates, that'll learn the variable rate mortgage mofos lol

note that something like 50% of the tax for the UK comes from about 5% of the rich folks.... so stop whinging about the lower paids being taxed more.

Thank f*ck Labour and Brown have gone.

Mandleson should stick to being gay and keep out of politics lol

Let's really hope that the Torries an LibDems can sorted the complete mess that Labour have created out.

Everybody seems to think that the Torries want the poor to get poorer and the rich get richer this is not ture.

the rich get richer because the 'poor' get richer enabling them to spend on the rich peoples products/services :) its completely win win win

ok there will be a struggle at the start but you dont get anything without a good hard graft :)

The point on #1 is rich with savings and etc will therefore earn more money; and the poor with minimal savings will fail to capitalize.

I want to buy a house purely so I have a chance to actually own my accomodation when I'm at retirement age. The way I see it is, you work and pay off your mortgage, then when you hit 55-60 or whatever you own the house you live in so you have no further mortgage to pay. I can't really see my (probably as little as) £500 a month pension covering a rental and giving me enough cash to survive each month.

Stuart
12-05-10, 10:19 PM
I'm kinda hoping there will be a 'boom' period after 4-5 years so interest rates drop and I can buy a 2nd home to rent out that will become the pension along with whatever house we are in at the time being all traded in for a cosy cottage on the north coast of cornwall for me to try and kill myself in the sea everyday at 70+ lmao

I think the benefits system does need a review, as there's too many people claiming a comfortable life out of it. [edit] not saying every claimant is btw, I'm well aware some people do have a very tough life on minimal income.

Changing to a voucher system, such as the childcare vouchers, would be good.

I see your worries, but tbh cuts have to be made. Everyone is going to feel the pinch, but its not the tories fault. If you want to blame anyone for your issues, blame the banks.

Unemployment figures will go up under tories, as they'll chop a load of civvies. Be interesting to see how the income tax losses and contracted business losses will react to that

and being from scotland, you'd know about thieves & liars...... they are all the westminster scottish labour mp's! they can't actually do fu[k all in their own constituencies, yet they were running westminster, and allowing the outdated public spending sum to pay scots 20% more per head than the english, knowing they will keep getting voted in on that one issue.... and that is why by far the biggest employer in scotland is the public sector.

1979, this country was under seige.... most of the unions were on strike for money & labour had none left. rubbish was in the streets... power cuts were taking place cos of strikes, even the tv was off some nights.
tories came in & had to do one thing........ save money. thus came the huge battles with the unions. by selling the nationalised industries off, and they were all making losses, the new owners could tell the unions where to go when they issued new contracts of employment...job done. then it was prosperous for ages.... then there was a stockmarket crash & we had a couple of years of high interest rates.....then labour took over & rode what the tories had done with the economy for 10 odd years, then there was a crash, but this time the interest rates are low, and we are all struggling........and labour sneaked in loads of taxes that the common man doesn't see, which is why small businesses are all screwed
