Picked up a Nardi Gara Sport 'D' steering wheel for my Mk1 Nova and was just wondering what boss I'd need to fit it to the car

Mainly aimed at Phazer or Dave France (Brett Warburton's old Nova) has the same steering wheel

Cheers, Vaughan :)

What's the PCD on it?

To the best of my knowledge there are only 2 types of modern style mounting bosses;

1. OMP/MOMO/SPARCO (70mm PCD IIRC)

2. MOUNTNEY (which has a larger PCD)

That's what I was wondering...To see if I'd need to measure it or would it tell me on the back of the wheel itself ?

It's not coming with a boss...I'm asking to see which Boss I'll need for it...

Sorry, that was a poor attempt at humour. As Captain Obvious stated above, just measure it when you get it.

Measured in just the same way as the PCD of a wheel, i.e. a circle drawn through the centres of all the mounting points.

If I was good with computers I would now draw a diagram, but instead try this link for more information;

lol @ thread

I have a snap off with an adapter (one for the horn push as it's too deep to fit otherwise).

The bolt pattern doesn't have a hole at the top like Momo, Sparco etc Looks like a lot of the boss kits take any pattern now, though the Nardi pattern looks like a Momo one rotated round one hole if that makes any sense at all.

I'm pretty sure Nardi use the same pattern as MOMO etc.

Nice wheel vaughan. Common on Jap stuff.

Not the same as Momo (as in placement of holes, though PCD may well be the same as per my comment above).

Heres the Gara (ignore the fact it's the cover as the bolt pattern on the wheel is identical to the plastic studs here):

I just wanted to know what boss to get as I know some folk on here use the wheels...

Always liked the wheel since I seen Brett's Nova in TV in 2002 - The one I've got is off a guys CRX...Very good condition as well and a fair price :)

and hopefully I answered that above. Anyway as I'm feeling helpful heres a Momo wheel rotated right 90degrees:

Looks like any boss will do the job (they all use the momo pattern these days it seems).

No probs. You know what I'd do? Get the wheel and nip down one of the chavy accessorie shops and try it against a momo wheel etc and then come home and order the boss for much cheaper on the the internet lol
