I was wondering if any1 can help me.I want to know if i can put a 1.2 head on a 1.4sri block with a 1.4 cam in (14 NV) and will it make a difference your help will b great. :?

thats wat i am going to do but with a 1.2 inlet and 1.4 carb
and a different exhaust system

IIRC the sri heads are among the best to use (for flow characteristics and valve sizes)

so id stick with the sri head

as for cam........

i cant see you gettin much gains from that either tbh as the sri has more power than the sr

if you want extra power without loosing the injection then these are my recomended mods

decat + exhaust ?100-?300 (7-10bhp)
filter ?60 (5bhp)
chip ??= 5bhp
cam ?160 (6bhp)
b+ head = ?500+ (8bhp)

to be honest 1st thing i would do is to get a filter and decat i did this and it was loads quicker

i dont mind loosing the injection because its just a project at the moment because i bought the car for eighty quid cus the engine had slipped its shells. im just trying different things because i can get most parts free.

i prefer carbs all the way

only aragorn will try and convince you to keep the blasted ecu ;)

get the 40s on, or even a 32 34 weber is well on the way to making some nice noises
