Well following on from EGU - http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=133738 and the major bad luck i had with it after getting wrote off by a dumb blonde after 4miles i had a compensation claim and some moneys. lol I didnt really have the heart or effort to build a new one so i wanted to buy one half done so i bought this little beast off Andrew (L11nuxxx) from up in bonny Scotland me and the Mrs got a plane up there as it was cheaper than driving lol and i drove her the complete 300miles home!!
Didnt miss a beat all the way home am really pleased however i think i have a puncture lol.

Got a Cally and vec V6 myself and I love the engines. Bet this wee beast is a bit nippy with an F20 and no weight :)

Pfft, 24v badge. People will probably just think its a halfords special then lol
Are the bumper holes there for reason? Would look far better without them and the bonnet dropped back down. I know V6s can run warm but with metal rocker covers it should be ok
Metal rocker covers are a must imo, the plastic ones warp and leak :(
Few pics of my Cav here, you can see how much sealer we had on mine, and they still leaked
http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y191/mrmazz/Cav/
the rockers arnt leaking at the minute lol and no the bumper holes have no reason to be there! im looking for a nice GSi front bumper
the rockers arnt leaking at the minute lol

the bloody thing played up last night!! died on me bless her! I fitted a Euro rear reverse light and got chased by a scooby so had a play and when i touched the brakes the digi dash went off and the engine died! Turned out i had a blown fuse due to the rear light loom being caught on the lower clip bolt thin on the light unit!!! oh well shes all good now however thirsty she is!!

I have to say there's alot of fuss about rockers and i have never had a problem, we have used 75bhp nitrous too and still no leaks, it runs nice and cool too! i wouldn't worry unless it happens tbh

does look good in those pics matey very nice buy!!
well just got back from a 500mile round trip to devon on me holidays, really wish people who build cars do them properley!! I had a major rush to sort the handbrake that was non existent with the rear discs, changed the gear linkage as it was bolloxed, had a serious problem with my steering thought the rack was fuked turned out that the rack was loose!! so put some new washers on and threadlocked it. Ive had a problem starting it as the fuel pump is mounted in the engine bay ( nice idea especialy with the heat coming from the rear manifold) and i belive that the fuel is vaporising as it wont start when the engine is warm its asif ive ran out of fuel so i flicked the key 5-6 times and it starts 1st time! and when coming back on the mway i got stuck in traffic and then got stuck in 3rd gear found out that whoever fitted the gbox didnt replace the pin and clip on the linkage where you flip the white bush round and the fitted a nut amd bolt thqt vibrated loose and dropped off (grrrrrreat when on the mway!!) so now thats been replaced but still need x2 new ball joints and the tracking doing!! I would never go anywhere with no direct choice when going to buy a car again! ive spent more time fixking the balls ups on this car than i did building my LET nova!! oh well thinking of painting my wheels grey/anthracite?? and trying to build and fit my rosejointed linkage for PVS i need ti be in the 13's!!
anthracite wheels would look good on it mate. shame to hear its still having problems :(

Exactly why I hate buying cars/engines etc that are already 'done' - never up to your own standard - or any standard in your case!
At least it was nothing terminal! :thumb:
I did wonder why this car got passed round a bit once gaz had finished building it!
I had a PM off the guy who bought it off Gaz as he bought something off me. Asked him about the car as it used to be quite well known when it was a 1.6 and he told me about all the problems he found with it when he'd bought it, sounded like a death trap tbh. No wonder he got rid so quick.

I never had any problems with it bar the brakes and gearbox going. I will say to the mechanic who fitted the gearbox about the bolt and it ****ing up :tard: , It's weird when I had it I thought it was the most reliable car I have had :tard: . I never built it right enough I bought it as is from my brother who used it a few times and it sat for a few months as is. Before that it was a guy from Arbroath called Lee that he got it from that builds Novas but again he bought it as is from a Welsh guy, Thats who put the engine in it, Theres a build threa called "V6 Built on my drive" or summit that has the details. I used it everyday a few times a day and it always started etc.
Did you sort the brakes?
