View Full Version : where is the oil presure switch on 17 diesel

ok need to know were the oil pressure switch is on my 1.7 izuzu diesel cav
i am sutch a dumb ass and cant finde it help please and pics will be most gratefull :thumb:
I think there the same as an XE/SEH mate it should be behind were the oil filter is on the pump iirc under the alternator.

Iirc they're in the side of the cylinder head mate.

im sure its on the right hand side of the block above the gear box but below the head if you get where i mean lol

its only a switch but not a pressure sender for a gauge though right?

only problem is iwanted to fit a gsi sender so that i can have my calibra oil presure gauge working and i dont think there is enough room i mite have to get the sump modded so i can fit 1 :confused:

any gen on when you do that would be most useful!!! I want to do the same on the cav diseasel :)

mines done 12200 now and its as dry as a bone :thumb:

Andys cav has more miles than the starship enterprise lol
Mr burgo is correct there is no oil pressure in the sump as its just a 'float' for the oil and its only under pressure after the oil pickup has slurped it up via the oil pumps suction :p

I only do 60 miles a day in it now tho :mad:
Motorway boost this morning was hitting 25psi :)
