I've been sat here for about 3 hours or so now doing the club packs. Local radio is on the background. Now I live in a (crap) town called Yeovil and everyone local pronounces it "yovil". Even the local radio DJs etc get it right. Yet on the adverts, spoken by people who aren't local, it gets pronounced "yeeoville". As in, overpronouncing the E and -vil on the end.

This annoys me. I noticed it the other day, and since then whenever someone pronounces it wrong, it irks me even more. Been sitting here for 3 hours writing names on envelopes whilst getting progressively more irate at the radio.

Yeah. I'm bored.
