Every time i go on the computer, i'm instantly drawn to egay or PH to see if there is any bargains for sale.
I'm beginning to fancy another one.
Disease not curable i'm afraid.

Graeme, your right.. I do like the Egg.. Alot..
But it's not a Nova.
I've done it ever since first wanting one, when i've been without one i've always been looking for one.
Its terrible...
However you do get the flip side of it, last summer I had a VX220, my uncle from Australia came over last summer and had a spin in the VX220, I took the Nova out today to see him, and I was a bit embarrased!! First thing I did was come home and type in VX220 into eBay!

Mhmm and are they doing an R8 V10 conversion for it yet?
Tell me what you like about it that you can have in a Nova or whats originally a Vauxhall Corsa part?

No known cure
Saw a mk2 1400 SR up for sale round the corner from me today. Red, 52k, lowered, decent-ish condition, although gayhat rear tints and missing rear window trim. £795 it was up for, and the guy had a printout from what appeared to be pistonheads showing a list of Novas, all more expensive - probably to show what "great value" his is. Mind you, the spec list in the window was pretty much OEM but with power steering... which I doubt. If it was a saloon I'd have it, although I'd be tempted to offer £700 then fit round arches on it.

The prices seem high at the minute.. Thats whats putting me off.
Even for a heap of rust, they want £500 plus.
That would just be ghey Jack lol
Rick you need another nova aslong as its not a twelve door cos then youd just look like you wished you had a cav haha :p

That would just be ghey Jack lol
Tempted, just to p!ss off the hatch brigade lol
Would be a decent base to restore though. If it were a Mk1 or an SRi I might consider it as a resto project.

that brown more door, with a nice colour coded let or v6, and low on comp mo's in gold. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I had a 1990 gte for my first car a little over eleven years ago. No matter what make/model of car Ive owned since then I always miss and end up coming back to them. Maybe we are just trying to recapture/hang on to our youth! On another note prices are high at the moment with any old rot boxes demanding big money which doesnt make it easy to find a half decent xe/let as you know you'd want no less! Keep your eye out fella Im sure you'll find something. Loon appeal does seem to be growing on everyone however!
Nick.
I only ever seem to go back to a nova when im on my **** and totally skint lol.
I wouldnt bother or even think about an XE/let nova not after xsara Vts/Williams/172 and evo.
But..... you cant beat an OEM spec 1300SR or Sport that is the only nova I would build and own and very very rarely use.
