View Full Version : rise in insurance price
hi guys, just had my renewal from ecar insurance for my vectra 2l dti. i was paying 650 last year and now they expect me to renew with them for 1024pound.
they must be having a tin bath!
been on the usual comparison websites and the cheapest so far is 530 fully comp, 3years ncb, 22years old, clean license, parked on drive in a alright area.
going to have to ring sky and HIC and see what they can do for me, just cant believe the cheek of some companies that i thought were decent. shows what i know.:tard:

Do HIC do a price match thing???
Renewals are always high because of numpties that just renew with the same company because they were cheapest last year, my renewal with direct line was £650, 1 years ncb 21 on a standard 1.2spi, I insured it a month or 2 later as a 1.6 stripped buckets lowered etc etc, modifications list long enough that one company stopped me halfway through, for 970 lol
I can't do anything but renew with the same company every year as none of the others will do agreed values or insure my postcode.
"Numpty" was aimed at the people that haven't got a clue about it and just renew without thinking about it :p
Yeah, renewals are purely for those people who cba to shop round. I bet if you rang up ecar and told them your best quote so far is £530, that renewal price would plummet faster than Brown's chances of being PM.

Don't tempt fate, I can't fcuk off to another country for 2 years yet lol
rang sky today, although they were very helpful and quick with sorting me out a quote, they couldnt beat my previous best price.

Sky gave me my best price on my track car £595 FC, although it's gone up with them also, they said it's due to a increased amount of claims last year, the next near quote was £400 more! and the top quote was £2000 FC!...
plummet faster than Brown's chances of being PM.
I thankyou on my accurate political commentary btw :p
