Most early mk1s require a wire running from the spade connector at the back of the rev counter to the coil - that will give you the rev counter.

For oil pressure gauge you will need a 2 pin sender to replace the standard 1 pin sender. These are found on SRs/GTEs/GSIs amongst other Vauxhall models, although new they are rather expensive!

Mk2s often already have the wiring for the rev counter so its more or less plug and play, but oil pressure gauge still as above.

mk1s have a 12 pin connector and the oil pressure and rev counter have separate spade connections. The wires are usually already present behind the clocks so to get the rev counter working it should just be case of connecting the green wire to the spade on the back of the rev counter.

The oil pressure wire is the blue wire and you will need to trace it back through the loom and join it to the pressure sender (back of the engine below the water pump). You will need the sender with two pins. One operates the oil warning light on the dash and the other is for this wire to connect to, to operate the oil pressure gauge.
