corsa redtop . .problems help please

hi brought a corsa redtop last night just got home tis mornin after a night full of problems

it was over heating - rad had a hole in rad weld fixed that!

wen it idles it revs high havnt got a rev counter but im guessing 3grand

wen i put my foot down it hold back and sorta limits the speed while coughing

the engine went fine for about 30secs then bang and it sounds like running on 3 and didnt have any power to pull away checked dizzy seems a bit mangled so gonna replace

any ideas to my problems??

also gonna try changing crank because i no dat can do crazy things anyone got one ??

we changed crank, new dizzy cap , arm leads and sparks also tried a differnt icv

the engine runs a little bit better now but not right . .

we think it may have the 1.2 petrol pump on

the car idles at around 3 grand

and when you put your foot down it splatters then icks in then splatters ??

sounds like you have an air leak or the idle control valve isnt connected

Because it's an xe in a corsa, I take it your running a powercap? Make sure it has got the gasket on the cap. Also icv as suggested earlier. Mine did the same when I bought it. Make sure all the clips on the doughnut are tight as well.

make sure icv and knock sensor plugs are the right way round!
