right my fuel guage dosnt work again

its didnt work when i had the 1.0 engine in and 1.0 clocks

since then ive converted to a c14se, fitted a new tank and sender and new clocks

how do i check for a signal in the wires using a multi meter?

Do what I did, bridge the two wires that plug into the sender unit and see if that moves the gauge

Yeabut that was cause of a resistor wire that went to the coil that should have been removed when the previous owner changed the engine, and was a coincidence it went as I tested the fuel guage.

my car was originaly a 1.0 and i havent changed that wire but i took an ignition live from the fuse box

An ignition live to the coil? Is it still a 1.0?

no its a c14se

i meant to say i took an ignition live from the fusebox to power my ecu and not from that resistor wire
