right, ive got a bag of sh!t escort van and im painting it matt black. never had anything to do with painting before so i just want to know approximately how many cans im gonna use.

makes a difference where your spraying it, in a proper booth your gonna use less than in a windy garage

I reckon 20+ for an even coverage, the sides will eat up more paint where a Nova would have windows.

I've thought about doin this before , but would it not get very stone chippy very Quickly? Even though it wouldn't be to hard to touch up again. Surely you need the same number of tins of primer aswel?

I would say your going to need at least 20 tbh To get an even finish all over you will use lots more than you think!

although ive seen some **** hot spray gun matt black cars. was either a vx220 or an elise. looked awsome (probably the vx)

yea ive had that problem before lol used **** paint but didnt really matter as i crashed it not long after it started to rust lol
