i dont like the mk1 dash or the door cars tho ", hence why i wanted it mk2 inside and keep the exterior mk1

All pretty easy to install. As said dash might be abit if a ballache but other than that all straight forward enough.

the guy who fitted it just cut all the heater pipes. and also used the mk1 heater speed controls and hazard switch its a total balls up

Pete

but if i do it all like for like and get all the proper controls etc then i dont see where it could go wrong?

if you do it just try and get the heater pipes. and i wish you lived closer i would have done a swap. im after a mk1 dash:(

Pete
04-05-10, 09:49 PM
if you find out how much it would be to get it up to you i could do you a dirt cheap price on it ",

+ the nova im getting it out of im taking everything i can apart from the shell and wings etc, the lad who owns it wants to use it for autograss and dont want the interior etc but dont want to store it so im taking practicaly everything. but he just wants the £40 for the interior as its worth money

there the best pics i have i dont know how to make them bigger ?? it doesnt have the gte seats in now has the mk2 blue sr interior.

its in the body shop at the mo thats another thing i need to adjust the passanger side of the dash because its quite hard to open the glove box and i need to fit the heater blower/direction cables you'll need mk2 ones the blower ducking pipes and heater matrix are the same if i remember

you will have to change the bit the stalks clip into as its a differant part to the mrk 1 dash.

Mk2 dash all day long. The mk1 dash is a cancer inducing abhorration of an interior.

Its a dead easy swap too, the hardest bit is sorting out some of the wires. If you do grab a dash from a mk2, make sure you get the electrical plugs with a bit of wire on them, makes the swap a lot easier.

Oh, and as above all the heater ducting is different too, so you need all that. And the Mk2 heater cables.

you will also need to change the bottom of the heater box as the parts on the side are differant for the under dash trays.
