I have got my engine in, it turns over, gets a spark, fuel pump is operating but the injectors are not doing anything.

Can anyone help me on this one? There is fuel at the rail so i know its getting that far

Oh, its a C20XE

thanks

IS the fuel pump running off the fuel pump relay?

All earths tight? would suspect crank sensor or fuel pump relay

Wow, quick replies! Thanks

Yeah it is running off the fuel pump relay. I did notice a bit of the plastic coating on the crank sensor wiring was melted a little, how many wires are inside or is it a coil type wire?

Local motor factors do them for around £35 iirc

If you are getting a spark i doubt its the crank sensor!

Have you tried getting the ecu light to flash?

The car started today!! i took the fuel rail off and bench tested injectors, they were ok and were getting power. Cleaned all the earths as i built it up and changed the fuel pump relay at same time...after a couple of turns it kicked into life :d

Been about 3-4 years since i took the engine out my last nova....so was long overdue. Safe to say i had quite a sizeable cheeser on my face when it started lol
