Exhaust probs, need sound advice

first off i made the stupid mistake of buying an exhaust with the words 'UNIVERSAL' associated with it. The second major mistake was buying an exhust with the words 'CHERRY BOMB' on it. i went for it cos it was cheap then found that it needed a loada work to make fit and apparently there a heap of shit.

Basicly i need a new backbox for my 1.2i, i was gonna get a peco BB4 but i hear there shit aswell. I'm gonna fit an sri manifold and down pipe with gte center cection so in theory does this mean that i can get a backbox meant for a gte?

i was thinking along the lines of a Magnex, anyone tried Rage?

It wont work, ul need 2 have an SRI centre section, all backboxes r universal!

U could get a GTE manifold, downpipe and centresection!

i fitted a gte center section onto my mates gfs sri to decat it....

any back box will fit just get either a mk1 or mk2 one

he'll be running the SRi part for the lambda sensor (prolly a 1.2i)

and fitting teh GTE manifold would lose the probe port

so if he wants a GTE spec system with lambda he needs an SRi manifold (for the lambda) and GTE center section (for the de-cat)

iirc the downpipes are the same and both will fit

and for the backbox its upto you, depends what u want it to sound like

magnex are pretty good, peco are cheap and not too bad but dont get a BB4, BB2 is ok

Motorbike back box! :lol: Depends how much you want to spend. S/S ones will last the longest and cost you. Magnex and Rage like you said are good. Other than that you could get a mils steel one like sportex or ashley.
