hi there people, ive rebuilt my e16se and im now stuck with getting it running because the dizzy doesnt have a vac advance. what dizzys are out there for a 1.6? did they do a carbed 1.6 if so did they share the same head/cam? please help, thanks.

1.4 SR dizzy i think
complete setup off a 1.4 carb, coil, dizzy, wiring

Does MJ still use edis?
if so, then I'd go for megasquirt and use real coilpack :)

interesting are the ends of the cam the same? has anyone got a picture of the drive side on an sr dizzy?

yes, that is why this dizzy is used
thanks for the help gunna get one ordered and try it.
They did make a 1600 carb engine - the 16sv. It ran a pierburg 2e3 and black slot drive distributor. If I remember correctly the cam is same as 1300.

Was this 16sv lump fitted to the Nova?
no, mk3 cav & mk2 astra i believe

Is it a small block lump?
I thought the only small block fitted to the mk3 xav was the 1.4 fitted to the ore facelift cavvies? I owned one said beast!! Lol
there were some small block 1600 cavs
