Ive been waiting age to see a WIP for it, does it exist? are you planning a secret unavailing at PV or something? lol
I don't want to do a wip until the shell is painted mate, I don't want it to be one of those wip's that have pages of nothing happening, I have just got a space in a unit which will see the mods to the front panel complete shortly and then the paint can begin, I truely want things to happen it just doesn't seen to happen fast, just my house gets fuller and fuller of Nova bits that stress me out, if you want pictures of a bare shell I'll be down there tomorrow
Rears arches looked spot on when you posted up a couple of pics a while ago.
Any idea when you might get it painted ?

Fair enough dude, you dont have to justify it, i was only messing, just not even seen any of it how you got it or anything yet thats all, hey my xe track car took ages (2 years?) to get going due to financial set backs, then when i should of held of the most (last year out of work for 5 months) i just said **** it and built it in time for PV lol
PS: rear arches?? oh have you sinned according to Burgo? lol i hope so, love hatch arches on 3dr loons..

GM should of put 3 door rear arches on saloons from the factory, looks soooo much better IMO
I wanna see it
Its not that white or light blue shell for sale a while back is it?
Which had the arches already done?

lol Burgo hates it, but ever since i saw some on that light blue let a few years back i though, ha! now thats quite cool, i like them on saloons too, who cares what anyone els thinks though it's your car.
Scott
Hatch areches on loons FTW!! i saw that light blue one at pv a few years ago and ever since then have loved the look and idea:thumb:
My inspiration was a green c plate xe from the North east, was owned by a chap called Gilly iirc, I spoke to him on the phone a few times and he told me how his were done, I believe he had a blue three door shortly after featured on the front of fast car, I saw it in the flesh at Ultimate Fast Car in 1999
Ummm, they look like they need extending further so they go to the back lights...
Can you not make them slightly wider so they cover the whole back quarter?
Im unsure on that they just seem to stop.

Jack hasnt posted a reply yet, however. I think it will look the nutts Graeme. I am another that is looking forward to seeing some progress when it happens.

That'd be great Craig, fingers-crosses there not ridiculously priced
I know Jack, Saloony and Burgo share the same opinion, but to me its the box arches that make a Nova and I wanted them on a saloon and if thats the only bit of the car people are devided about then I can live with it, Surely it'll upset the masses more with it having a Gsi kit, Speedlines and a let, I can live with the fact its nothing ground breaking or original as long as its quick and makes me laugh thats all that matters to me

Thats it fella... Your car and your ideas so it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks. Everyone has their own opinions and always will but as long as your happy with what you have built then jobs a good one. Knowing how many nice parts you seem to hoard Im sure it will come together well in the end. ;)
Nick.
i like :p
Whens the WIP thread going up Graeme?
Love to see the progress for this :d
Loving it Graeme! Love hatch arches on loon's!

I spy, with my little eye, my ******* ****ing handbrake lol
Correct Matthew, cheers Dave and Nick would be a million times better if you painted it :thumb:
Your car and all, so do what you like with it. But IMO it looks sh!t lol Would have looked better if you had used a hatch rear arch
Jack hasnt posted a reply yet.

It'd be even sh!tter if it was painted a hanging blue and the bonnet didn't shut properly

Once upon a time Nova saloons were bought so them that owned them didnt look like their 3dr hatch counter parts, unique in arch and boot. So making the saloon look like a 3dr is just wrong on every scale.
Once upon a time nova saloons were driven by people knocking on deaths door, had trolleys banged in to the on Asda car park, and frustrated other read users by driving everywhere at 25mph, thankfully thats not the destiny for all of them, as most people have agreed each to their own

i like it with the hatch arches!

Cheers mate, means a lot coming from Png's resident purest
I like it. I've never understood why saloons have round arches when the rest of the car has such straight lines.
