x e track project

recently bought my old nova back with 16 bent valves , tbh it looks a mess now the usual story when someone buys a nova and not knowing anything about them and just wrecks them , i sold it with to mint doors in primer and they are no where to be seen , it got past a bout a few times so thats how its in such a mess

heres how it was on tuesday theres a few dents on the car the wheels have been sprayed and are all peeling and the drivers door is diffrent from the one i sold it wae the pass side sill is dented too , but the rear arches are still solid

Right we up date got most of the car primerd just done it were it was couldnt be botherd puting it in the booth, rear arches reacted so had to put anti reactor on them, it was cos of the quick repairs i done to tidy it up before crail so il wet and try it tomoz and get it all primed up and painted on sunday if all goes to plan heres some pics

removed the front window and i wet and dryed the full car, had to sort some imperfections in the filler work should get it all primed tonite

update time not much happening here to be honest , still havent got a passenger door , so stole the shoes of my astra mk2 gte LET, still havent flatend or polished it yet but i did fit my rear mudflaps lol no point fittng the bonnet until i get a fecking door lol all the inner arches are painted up now and the floor has been gravitext!!!!:thumb:

Right update time finally have a pass side door thanks to bazil for supllying me it, prept it all up and de locked the door no pics because i forgot to take a pic lol

i also took the engine back out too stitch weld the bay and give it a coat of paint should have done this when i put the engine back in but i was in a rush to get it ready for craill any hows heres some pics

we update sorted the drivers side splash guard when i took it back i made some holes so welded them up lol also done stitch welding to the inner wings

i have to say, im impressed with your painting skills, the colour come up proper nice and puts my supposed 'flame red' corsa gsi to shame with its 10 different shades lol

proper in love with your mk2 astra, think you should defo get that up and running over the nova!! not to start an argument but i'd pay closer to 10k for that astra than a nova lol

ive got an over ride fan switch , so when its on the track its near enough on all the time but i would like the bigger rad i heard glasgow raditors repair rads , so im gna take that one i got off you into them to see if it can be repaired, bonnet will be painted asap lol

heres what ive been up 2 the past few weeks with the nova , ive re painted the drivers side quater panel as it had a big reaction on it so thats now sorted heres some pics


i primerd it and it reacted again wasnt pleased

so i rubed it back and hit it with some anti-reactor then aplyd sum anti rust primer and flattend it back

Maybe you could sandblast or wirebrush on a grinder the back arch lips, Then zinc primer them and paint.

There must be some action you can take to prevent it from rusting again rather than replace.

they were wire wheeld , grinded back kurusted zinc primed red oxide , tbh they wernt even bad that was the same bubles as before and there back again

no cav is the same mate in places, i wire wheeled, kurust treated and primed then painted mine took 6 month to come through on the front panel below lights, its really annoying i think there has to be better rust killers than kurust
