using too much fuel.help please

I have got a Nova merit 1.2,carb is a Pierburg 1b1.At the moment its running rich,can anyone send me instuctions on how to adjust the carb.

i own a 1600 so i wont be of much use to you. and my haynes manual is down the garage, but im sure one of our resident experts will post soon

2 screws on the carb (one white plug - the other a brass plug). They atre on the front of the carb as you look in the engine - on left and right.

Cannae remember exactly wot they do - ones fast idle others mix (I think)

To be honest yer best getting it set up properly, Prob cost ya ?30 at a garage to get it set - save you lots of hastle and will also sort yer emissions for any future mot's
