View Full Version : X16xe Transducer Signal Wiring

hi there guys someone please help.
having night mares with imobilizer .
the gearbox transducer wires .
black/ switched live
brown/ earth
blue/red imobilizer/speed signal.
question is this blue/red wire signal should it be a live signal or a earth signal do you need to use a persifick speed sensor.
please help pulling hair out here never let nothing bet me spent hours and hours on this

It provides a low voltage pulse that gets faster iirc

do they all work the same
ie astra gte old school
corsa b 12 v
corsa b 16v
nova spi
do i have to have a certian one

Iirc they provide a differnet amount of pulses per rpm, thats why you need the one that matches the clocks when doing a digidash conversion

for a speed sensor on an ECU, it shouldnt matter. Its looking for the signal to stop to control the idle valve. Unlike a digi dash which will obv read incorrectly.

What problem is it your having with the imobliser?

it is imobilized ecu light flashing continuasly when ignition switch on tried 2 looms {corsa b x16xe & vectra x16xel both imobilized}.
put both ecu:s in my vectra both start run perfect .
when testing red/blue wire on vectra live reading .
when tested on corsa negitive reeding.
trying different type of speed sensor tomorrow off my nova digi dash type

Sure your not picking the wrong red blue on your vectra?

I presume you have got the transponder pickup and chip in the right place.

There is no need to worry about the VSS until the car starts and runs for longer than 5secs.

hi there lug16v stil alive and still in my possesion last 14 years but bit rotten awaiting rebuild to busy trying to get this corsa done for my daughter.
sure wires are correct tested right ones . if dont need vss until started where does the pulse come from to turn off imobilizer.
transponder & chip all good.

The pulse comes from the transponder, The VSS dont put out ANY signlee/pulse until your moving.
