Picked this up today, got it from an old chap local to me who had owned it from new’ it has only done 14000 miles (genuine) but unfortunately it is rotten as a pear. He stopped driving five years ago and it has sat in his garden ever since. He asked me if I could take to the scrap yard for him, but somehow it fell of the back of the truck into my garage on the way lol

Nice find!
But where's all the old blokes round here giving Novas away?
Not fair (chucks toys and storms off)...
Is that caribic blue?
Rotten is only the offer of a challange.
I seriously doubt that only has 14k on it!?
Need engine shots - that should look give us a better idea tbh - arches shouldnt rot like that if it has only done those kind of miles...
garden for 5 years would probably destroy the arches...but the floor...it could be beyond help
Meh get the welder oot lol

Exactly - if it has only done that mileage the boot floor/chassis would be spotless - need pics!
Is that the same colour as Keith's NDZ?
Fit some bbs RS' and it'll be on the front of Max power next issue

Is it rotten, or just scabby?
Few hours and you can put arches in.
Few more and its washed and stripped down.
May look bad from the outside, but be really clean inside:thumb:

lol same as my first nova same colour aswell
lagoon blue :)
I reckon it could be that rusty with only 14000 miles. It all depends how he looked after it for instance if he hardly ever washed it arches could be full of crud thats been there all its life it would easily rot out. My old college tutor used to do the rust warrenty work at vauxhall back in the 80's 90's and all the cars that were still under corrsion warrenty first thing he would do is feel in the arches and if they were full of mud then vauxhall wernt liable as you wernt looking after it propley:thumb:

if it had 14k on the clock, would it not still have the orginal vauxhall battery ?
At least you got a working mk2 hazard switch out of it.
if it had 14k on the clock, would it not still have the orginal vauxhall battery ?
And probably original oil filter and stuff
a 14k car hasn't got rocker cover leakage like that either
a 14k car hasn't got rocker cover leakage like that either
I thought a none leaky rocker cover was/still is an optional extra from Vauxhall
lmfao thats has deffinetly been round the clock, my engine is mint compared to that and its done 50k.
scrap the ****ter but save any "good" bits first
