View Full Version : throttle linkage
hey peeps, got a problem with my linkage on my throttle bodies.
its really stiff on the pedal, cable is free and greased, linkage is free and greased, i think the problem is the design of the linkage.
can anyone post pics of the linkage on their tb's.

pics?
My guess is the cable is held at too awkward an angle to pull on the linkage. A stiff throttle makes any engine 'feel' gutless.
It's probably the 'curve' or angle of the cable where it bends after coming through the bulkhead. Mine's the same sometimes. A bit of a re-jig and it's much better.
the cable isnt the problem because if i disconnect the cable from linkage its free as anything. ill get pics soon
i think that i need to modify the linkage so the cable gets more 'leverage' as such so its easier to pull on.

My throttle linkage on my Webers was really stiff.
Now on throttle bodies with a modified std cable its as free as anything.
Stick a pic up so we can see set up you have.
