:D :D :D :D
Is that the car in the pic? what engine have you?
If its injected the wire is red with blue stripe. you will see it going in to the pump relay which will be clipped to the bulkhead in the engine bay. You could make a brake on the pass side inside the car where the loom runs back.
If it has a mechanical lift pump you can't do anything....unless you open the 2 13mm bolts and bring it with you!!

so is it just the case of running 2 wires from the pump to a switch in the dash?

and putting a break in the wire where your applying the switch

its actually better doing this from the relay
u dont wanna be switching a 15A feed - you only wanna switch the tiny feed that triggers the relay
so having a switch in the mains that can switch 13-100Amps isnt a good idea either??
the current/voltage dosent matter, aslong as youve gtoa switch that will take it

well i know for instance i dont want the starter current running thru the ignition switch even if it could handle it and thats why the solenoid is there
its better practice to switch the low current side of things - thats the whole reason all the relays are there for in the first place for lights n shit
im not saying u CANT switch the pump feed, just that its better to switch the input to the relay
