I've witnessed a few bike engine cars at track days, they dont really go asell as you'd expect. You hear them coming, sounding ballistic, then when they appear, its not that quick.

Best for ultralight kit cars where the absence of any torque isnt such an issue.

over the road from me, theres an MOT garage, all of the people who work their all do autograss racing, a bloke their has an old mini cooper shell that he had stored for many years and eventualy got it out of where its stored. cut the boot off and extended it so he had an extra ft on the back. and hes fitted to bike engines in. ill get pics soon so people dont think im havin them on. sounds fookin amazing. but on his first race he had. he came 2nd from last because there was too much power coming from it and every time he put his foot down it would go up in a wheelie....

there was an article in ppc mag, a twin rotor mazda engine in a gr4 forest spec escort....it was in the under 1300 class with nearly 300hp... i was at leMans in 91 when the mazda won, they sound otherworldly when really hammered.

Just read up on Escort RR, Situne say it had 200hp, which isn't bad for a bike engine!

Well it had a turbo too, so that helped

are the bike engines just not strong enough for the weight they are pushing.

they are always throwing their guts.

haha lol the lad who built the mini that does the autograss is nuts too. when he finished it, it was when we had the massive snow showers... the road iced up outside the garage and he still decided to put his foot flat down lol but then the diff locked up on him lol
