cambelt kit

has anyone ever had bother getting your hands on a cambelt kit for a 1.3sr or is it only me because i can only seem to get the belt i can get the full kit for 1.2 and 1.4 is the 1.2 and 1.4 the same ?

There is no kit, you may want to do the water pump at the same time. I get mine from allittmotorsport.co.uk good prices and mail order too.

p[m asa james, i'm sure he had a 1.3 cambelt in his forsale ad.

i would recommend changing the water pump, as its the tensioner, and it will fail of you move it about. QH parts make the gm aftermarket ones anyway & they are cheap

ah right i was woundering about the tensioner thats why i was after a kit i didnt know it was the water pump that put the tension on the belt. also does anyone know if you can use the 1 litre drive shifts on the 1.3 ?

yes, they are the same.

also, when the old water pump refuses to budge, take the pipe off the back of it & put a bar in then hammer it ..
