Castle Coombe today.

Just got back from castle Coombe for the CCC day, it was great. Loads of Novas there and most were doing very well on the track.

Lots of cars on the stands looked nice too.

Didnt see many novaload members around though. saw Dave (nova x) and Tilly and that was about it really.

Few star cars of the day were..

A BMW M5 Alpina B9 wich teared the track up and was amazing coming off the bends.

A Triumph Dolomite running on Cosworth gear and a huge NOS shot.

A Blue and white Nova SR with a C20 XE (rally prepped)

was a few little shunts and scrapes but all in was quite a succesful day.

alas i didnt go as weather forecast looked abit dubious :( , and i really really didnt want a bored kid playing up all day lmfao :| . so i spent the day at me mates garage working on my car in peace and quiet :roll:

We got there at 08:30 and the first rain fell around 15:45, not to bad at all really.

my mate was gonna go in his munter because he thought he could get free entry and free track time before 11 with the munter club. hmm dubious. anyway he got stoned last ntie adn didnt get up.


and his 20xe is allergic to fluids anyway so its probably a good thign it didnt go

I tried valiantly to get there but alas wasnt to be. The minor problems after Brands (dodgy crank sensor and burnt out rear pad) turned into a major problem of the crank sensing wheel being cracked. Welded it up but the timing was out after that and then the starter motor packed up :(

That was the fastest corner one the track and on the first session of the first lap.

It had me a bit worryed too :?

You can see me braking on the track then as it goes onto the grass let off the brakes, steer and hope I keep it all under control.

Yes Lee i saw you just miss it on that corner but at least you turned it round and had a good few laps after it.

Looked good with the two peppermint cars neck and neck on the track.

I was there in my Red Turbo'd GTE with grey front bumper. I went on the track at about 2:30 just when it tipped it down with rain. Great fun though. Outbraked a STi Scooby into Quarry corner. Well chuffed, don't think he was though.

Did anyone see the Norris EVO 7 go round?

i went on saturday. ventured on2 the track twice. 2nd time the heavens opened :( the track seemed abit like ice abit 2 like ice in 1 corner!!had a good day tho.
my car was on the MIG stand.

Yeah, when I was on the track we all had to stop because there was three different cars went off at the corner at the end of the straight. It was very very slippery! Good fun though. I shall definately be at the next one on the 16th June (I think thats the date). Hopefully with the body work sorted by then.
There were a lot of nice Novas there and only 2 Corsas that I saw that were any good.
