hey guys, i have just bought this RC car for a bargin 90 quid, all ready to go.

and also another tamiya offroader POS

Tamiya Astra DTM on TL01 Chassis
Tamiya Calibra Clint DTM on TA03F chassis

I only run the DF03, the rest are shelf queens

an old savage SS with reverse etc. now on a longer lowered chassis etc but not run for 2 years now :s

Had well over 100, but im gay like that.

Have fun replacing hubs on it, baring that theyre pretty strong, if you can afford it, get a replacement spider gear kit for a hpi R40, changes the diff so much, and 50ft landings onto concrete dont hurt it lol

Also, plastic spur gear, and clutches go for fun!

Also, fit a nosram 28 if you have spare monies

SS is self build, and there was 4 versions.

origional SS was with no radio or engine
Then it came with no radio, but a 25 engine
Then the 4.6ss no radio
Then the 4.6ss with reverse

Worked in a model shop alot lol

Youll get £120 for it.

Run it on byron 25% or on Bigbang 20%

Or go big and go 35% but it will last half a gallon lol

cavy shell is a early tamiya shell opel vectra hey called it

and yes its a tt01 dude :lol:

Ahh right, shelf queens are ****!

Get it used, I used my 1979 rough rider, and its still a shelf queen, gets run maybe once a year haha

1st car a Mardave meteor. Unbreakable.
Then a Tamiya Mud Blaster.
I bought a HPi rally when I was at Uni too.
I'd love an Associated RC10 buggy.

All electric for me, nitro's stink.

i found a nitro RC car in a loft of a house i got, fixed it up bought a new shell..... runs but not well. Keep saying i'll sort it out and try it but don't see it happening. How do you set base setting on these nitro engines?

cooooool, i have a HPI firestorm but its water damaged and needs a new engine and all the electrics need replacing :( really need to get my ass in gear and sort it out lol

I got a Mcrae/early Focus WRC shell for my HPi. My god the masking took ages for the Martini stripes, & some head scratching to get it right from underneath. No pics sadly. But I did have a can of Pactra paint in my bedroom I pierced with a knife, just about to head outside with it & the shell. Doh!

I reckon £90 for the savage was a bargin!
I also have a savage ss but is now fitted with a big block picco p3 :d

I bought one of them for peanuts as well but the engine was fubared so it sits with all the others gathering dust

Loving the clodbuster in them pics i got a tamiya mini in peices somehwere as well
iirc i have

mardave v10
3xtamiya TL01s one set up for drifting
tamiya monster beetle, big wig?(still with the 8.4v motor), midnight pumpkin,mini and i think a fox?
the acme condor and my hpi savage ss but i also have my mates savage x as he never usede it any more so said i could have it on near perment loan:d

Don't race, don't even use them or see them most of the time. All sat in my old bedroom at my parents house.

Couple of expensive wants you got there lol

nice mate! Ive only got a tamiya tlo1 with a colin mcrea scooby shel had it since i was 14 it ball raced i cant remeber what turn the motor is in! Its got a mtroniks speed controler with no reverse!

I still want a tyco fasttraxx I know they arent the 'best' but I had one in my early teens and loved the abuse it would take etc, now rare as funk :(

That's the bugger :) I did 3 off-road meeting with it then couldn't be asred getting up so early on a sunday - so stopped and its sat around since!

When i first started at Stafford GEC it was all CAT's/Couguar's etc with the occasional Grass Hopper lol
