dose enyone no what the air to fuel mixtures is on a 1.2 carbd engine and how do i do it to get it bang on

You will probably need someone who knows what they are doing to set it up correctly, would be useful if you had a flow meter to read the air intake. You can adjust it by ear though. Try getting hold of a Haynes manual, it will/should have a diagram of your mixture screws.

If your MOT is nearly up they would probably charge minimal or no money to do it, as their emission rig would enable them to get it pretty close.

I think on all the varajet carbs it is anti-clock to enrich, what i do is wind it clockwise until it leans off and starts to sulk, then enrich it until it's happy.

varajets are pretty poor carbs and you may have to set slightly rich to get it to idle and run sweetly. on several cars i have had to lean off slightly for MOT then enrich when i get home.

Have fun. The mix is the small screw down a little tunnel, i seem to recall. as said above Haynes typically has good pics.

Yep, Stoichiometric being 14.5 i can't argue with that
