Hartleys 1.0L Project

just a quick project i have got and its my everyday driver aswell going to give it a little tidy up ready for billing had the car 5 month i got it off an old lady from castleford 33000miles every mot and tax disk from brand new full service history loads of recipts for it. trying to keep it standard looking only going to do some simple mods to it heres a few pics of when i first got it

Then i fitted some speedline allesio 2 alloys and a Nova Sport front bumper and me wind deflectors

i have currently got to mint doors and a mint bonnet away getting painted a the minute hope fully they will be back some time next week

u carnt see in the pic but along the bottom of the drivers door on the nova there is a little bit of rust starting to come through so am putting the to mint doors on and there is a dint in the bonnet were some one kicked a football and landed on the bonnet will put picks of the doors and bonnet up soon

when i get back from crail next weekend i will be starting to work on the car the wings will be coming off and getting the in side of them full gravitexed and painted along with the front inner wheel wells and there is one tiny bit of rust on the back p/s arch that will be getting treated i wont the car looking 100% for billing got 4 new 195 40 16 toyo prox tyres on order a long with some Gaz coilovers and get me Mk1 headlight protectors on and me wind deflectors back on then that will be it finished carnt wait will get more pics up for yous to see soon

as you can see in the pic one side of the car has gsi window surrounds and the other side hasnt am just debating weather or not to fit surrounds or just leave them out

tiny bit rust on the bottom of it so in stead of getting it fix i have to mint doors to got on

am going to change the wheels but not sure what to go for i like the comps on matts nova ski

came out the house this morning got in the nova and went to start it and it just keeps turning over popped the bonnet open checked all plugs ok, leeds ok, dizzy cap ok, so my friend checked to see if there was a spark and the wasnt so i am pissed off with it seriously thinking about putting an XE in to it before pvs i have every thing there a part from and engine and a pump i have got ie, shafts, hubs, gsi tank, mounts,

i have a 1l same as urs and the coil packed in, also replaced the points and condensor and cost about £40. runs like a dream ...for now!

all fixed now change the pionts and condenser and it started first time

got my doors back fully painted and waxoiled the inside of the a got the drivers door fitted it looks spot on just need to get the silver vinyl made for it now

next up is to get both the front wings painted and the front valance will ge3t some pics of me doors up soon

Small update just painted all the inner arches white to match the colour of the nova i left the factory sealer on for more protection

Getting the 2 front wings painted there is a coulpe of little dints and little bit of stone chips on them is i want it as mint as i can get it i thourght i might aswell get them done

Also there is a coulpe of bits i need for it witch i will hopefully get before PV 2 195 40 16 tyres, p/s Gsi window surround, am hoping for it to be looking 100% in 2 weeks

just fitted my ploy bushed strenghtened bottom arms still waiting on the tyres arriving me bonnets away getting painted bt it wont be back ready for pv which am gutted about

also got my brand new gm Mk1 wings still left in my garage which a will be getting them painted and fitted

i sold it to slippy of here its now getting used as a rally car as i had to get rid of it as i had no space for it now as i didnt have a garage

also manage to get hold of a brand new pair of Genuine Gm innerwings, a Genuine Gm boot floor, and a Genuine Gm Rear Panel with all parts numbers on all panels are brand new Gm these will come in handy all pictures will be up soon

a few of my dads mates have got them lying about in loft as they used to have novas and they no am in to novas so they just give me them or some times sell me them cheap as the no longer need them some parts i have aquired are no longer availible any more i now have

all panels are brand new Genuine Gm

am just sorcing all the panels and parts needed the hopefully next year i am planning to buy a nova sport or a Gsi and fully restore it back to concourse condition i stillhave to find a couple more panels yet still need a pairof doors, p/s rear quater,sills,thats all i need
