View Full Version : Spax RSX coilovers
Had a search but couldn't find the answers I was looking for.
Anyone know the poundage rate for the front and rear springs?
And for a road car which dampers should be stiffer, the rear or fronts?
Cheers

contact them direct, cos they are the only people who will know
Found out that fronts are 260lb, so should be alright for a XE.
Can't find info about rears anywhere. :(
And thanks for the link mowgli.
most people upgrade to 280lb springs for an xe
I've put the front on the car and I'm only getting 10 clicks for some reason.
They did have the normal 28 when off the car.
Is this because its too low?
its because they are fecked and need a rebuild.
They are new
Going to raise it up and try again
height should have shag all to do with damper clicks.
260lb? Seems awfully light... I had 280lb PVD springs on my XE, but they couldn't hold the extra weight of the V6, yet when I put the RSX coilovers on they were a lot better...

By "hold" you mean ride height? Spax could be wound up further :p No wonder it loves understeering if it's on 260lb springs, must roll like a bitch before it turns lol
No, I mean bounciness etc lol
Doesn't roll as much as it did with the PVD springs. Hmm.

Sounds like you're rolling on stus pet hate, soft springs and damping turned all the way up lol
weirdly some 'pro' company seem to love soft springs and hard damping lol
I'd settle for softish springs, semi soft damping and a stiff assed ARB
or stiff springs, soft damping and little arb help
What size springs do the RSX coilovers use?
