At the end of next month the 16v conversion takes place :) i am aware that the bay requires welding although clicking through the forums i remember seeing plates pre made that weld in for extra strenth, could any one point me in the direction of a website (clicky link would be nice) many thanks all :)

HH Motorsport is literally about a mile from where I'm sitting now. Have been in their workshops and their stuff is top-notch. I think the Nova strengthening plate kit is £77.88 inc. VAT.

Thanks for the links plate kit all orderd from HH motorsport, very polite fast service product in stock and out for courier delivery tomorrow (thursday) :thumb:

They also do a "fast road" plating kit which is cheaper and is only missing the sump guard bits..

Still overkill on the roads/track imho

i always wondered about this could someone make there own plates up whats so speical about them? How thick is the steel? Then if someone puts up there pictures of there hh kit you could just copy it? :)

just let them do it, they invented the kit in the first place, not just copied it like everyone else....

Yeah you could cut it easily enough but would take gaes, you will need to buy the plate then trace an exsisting kit etc etc and you would save about £20 and lose 2 fingers!

:thumb: ffs its £66 +vat not worth you even thinking about why make work for your selves it would take a day to make your own!! or a phone call
then a mornings work fitting it ! noob

when i bought mine back in 2001! akit cost me £105 + vat so think yourselves lucky paying £66 + vat

and as Stu pointed out the fast road kit is only £38ish
