J-reg Carbed ?????

Right i bought a lovely wee Nova flair today

Am i right in thinking that ALL J reg novas were injection? :confused:
As my brother is positive its carbed and tells me it even has the manual choke!!
I am thinking its had an engine conversion, are am i just being a tard :p

why superior :L? and also they changed to injection after 1992 j/k if im not correct ? just after themk 2 was introduced.

Thought this was the one from witham, Sure ive seen it about a couple of times.

Anyhow, My J reg is injection, but my brothers old J reg was carb. I guess they were just slowly introducing them and clearing up the parts bin in the factory.

Its a flair, basically its a poverty spec SR, same as mine is, its an SR engine (assuming its a 1400) it has a top-tint screen and SR cloth interior although doesnt have the recaro style bolstered seats, it should have illuminated sunvisors and the blue switches on the dash and the blue gearknob, it doesnt have the electric windows or CL but has the pickups in the fuse box so theyre a direct plug and play fit, and it also has front and rear ARB's aswell:thumb:

Directgov says its 1196cc = carb engine (injection is 1195cc). My J reg 1.2 was also a carb, 12NV engine. Not a bad little engine, always felt a lot better than the 12ST that was in my old saloon.
