As title not with the car and need to order some longer ones asap so measurements of standard bolts please

What actually keeps the stud from winding in/out?

They have a recess in the middle so you wind them in as far as they go. use two nut when putting them on so its nice and tight then crack off the nuts, back one first.

or loctite 266 stud lock. you will struggle to get them out after that stuff has gone off!!
