c20let wont start

Hi guys,

Had my c20let started yesterday and was all running fine, I then turned on headlights to check they were working and that killed the engine.

Now it wont start, and the starter makes the clicky noise but wont turn over.

When I put the headlights on they stay stuck on fullbeam and when i flash the fullbeam thingy the dash bulbs go dim?

Im guessing an earth problem but they all seem to be connected? anyone had similar?

Yeah, I had similar when I fitted my HIDs. Turned out where I'd sliced the H4 connector off, I'd forgotten to reconnect the earth wire.

Everything was fine til I used it one night with the headlights on - they were getting progressively darker til it cut out lol

I'd say check your headlight loom to make sure you haven't accidentally shorted some wires together. Might also be worth trying another stalk in case thats shorted out.

thinking about it, im not sure the earth for the headlights has been connected?

would any lights work if it wasnt?

Mine did, for all of about 2 minutes then faded out
